Year 7-9 Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care Department had a very hectic schedule last term. We organized a great range of activities and programs during the last term such as Sirius College Intercampus Reading Contest, After School weekly programs, Saturday Program, and many more.

The purpose of the pastoral care is to develop our students into becoming better holistic citizens. We design a variety of activities in order to install common humanistic values, develop social skills and cater for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the students.

In Term 2, “Students Teach Students Quran Program went very well. It was great to see that our students were teaching each other and taking the lesson seriously. More than 10 students attended the program and some students achieved to start Quran at the end of the program.

Moreover, Our Department run Qurban Campaign and it was a great success. Our Year 10 students went to Sri Lanka to distribute Qurban to the needy ones. I would like to thank all our parents and colleagues for their support and contribution.

Looking ahead to Semester 2, the PC Department will be organising a Reading Contest from the selected books for each level from Year 7 to Year 9 in Sirius College Meadow Fair Campus, on the 8th of September. We wish all the best for the students who will represent our Campus on the event.

In addition to this, we are reaching to the end of the term, which means that the PC department will be announcing Term 3 Holiday Camp in the coming weeks.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time to discuss any matters regarding any of the PC programs and activities.

Sincerely,
Mr Halis Ozyurek
